What is Kybella?
Kybella is a synthetic form of deoxycholic acid, a substance naturally produced by the body to aid in fat absorption. When it is injected directly into submental fat, the substance permanently melts the fat cells away and creates a smoother, more defined jawline.
How it Works
Patients that undergo Kybella treatments will receive multiple small injections in the area underneath the skin. The injections typically take just a few minutes to complete.
After the procedure, patients are able to return to regular activities. Swelling should be expected with Kybella injections, which typically subsides within 5-7 days. Discomfort after the procedure is minimal and can be managed with Tylenol, if necessary.
Everyone's chin profile is different, so your treatment is tailored to you. The number of treatment sessions will vary based on the amount of fat under the chin and your treatment goals. The average cost is $2200-$3400.
Long-Lasting Results
Because Kybella completely destroys fat cells in the area, the results of this procedure are long-lasting.
